Nicole started her nursing career as a certified nursing assistant. Upon graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she began working as an RN at a Level I Trauma Center in the neurological ICU. She later transferred to the medical/surgical/trauma ICU. 

Her academic pursuits led her to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing Education. Her capstone project, Mentoring as the Key to Minority Success in Nursing Education, was a significant achievement and later published in the Association of Black Nursing Faculty, Inc. Journal.

In 2015, she graduated with her Primary Care Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Certificate. She has practiced in a multitude of settings, including chemical/substance abuse rehabilitation, hospice, and primary care settings.

She is actively completing her terminal degree in nursing. Her project is focused on diabetic patients in the homebound setting. She will graduate in 2025.
